Erin was born in Cheshire, Connecticut, and moved to Canfield, Ohio, during childhood and remained there through college. She graduated from Ohio University's Scripps School of Journalism with a B.S. in Journalism and minors in English and Sociology.
Upon graduation, she moved to Avon, CT, and worked at a film and video production studio in Hartford for a year before joining the Eastern Region Headquarters for Little League Baseball in Bristol, CT, where she and her boss were involved in the ground-breaking and oversaw construction of this 29-acre facility. A few years later, she was hired by Bissell-Hayes Realtors and was the Marketing/Advertising & I.T. Coordinator, and Web Manager for 9-1/2 years. She joined HM Properties in April 2009.
Erin and her husband live in the Charlotte area. She enjoys spending time with her family, three cats, going to the beach and mountains, biking, politics, painting, and reading. For over 12 years, she was on the board of directors for the SPCA Alliance, an animal welfare organization that provides free spaying and neutering to pets in low income homes, and is now an independent volunteer working with several rescue groups. She has a passion for working with and helping feral, semi-feral and stray cats.
