Joey grew up in Mount Olive, New Jersey, and moved to Sherrills Ford, North Carolina with his family when he was 18 years old. They built a lakefront home in Northview Harbour on the northwest area of Lake Norman. While attending the University of North Carolina Charlotte, Joey also received his broker’s license during his senior year. After graduation, he worked as a commercial real estate analyst intern for SMI USA, an international investment, construction and operations planning firm and joined Corcoran HM Properties in 2021.

Through his past leadership and volunteer roles Joey learned how to navigate high pressure situations and to develop innovative solutions. One event that had the biggest impact on him was working with the Sandy NJ Warriors after Hurricane Sandy hit the area he lived in New Jersey. Joey and his family helped with the clean up and getting resources to residents in desperate need. He appreciated having the opportunity to offer assistance during that tragic time. 

Joey also spent two years working at The Peninsula Yacht Club as a dockhand. He has built superb customer service skills, enjoys meeting new people, and is well-organized. He also has a strong work ethic fueled by aspirations to expand his knowledge. He lives in The Ellis high-rise in Uptown Charlotte and spends summers on Lake Norman whenever he has the opportunity to go off roading in ATV’s, jet skiing, boating, kayaking, and wake boarding.
