Kevin J. Potter
Kevin grew up in Toms River, New Jersey, and graduated from The College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Accounting. He has worked for several world-class financial services firms, including Merrill Lynch, where he also met his wife, Lynette. Together they made a move to Charlotte in 2004 and happily made Charlotte their home.
After two successful decades in financial services, Kevin left his role as Head of Operations (Private Equity) at Apex Fund Services, LTD in Ballantyne, and made a bold career change to real estate. The transition to Broker/Realtor®® was the perfect move for him as he became a top producing agent in his first year! Kevin’s experience administering his client’s financial operations as well as working with audit firms and fund investors gave him a solid background to handle what is most often his buyer and sellers’ biggest investment - their home purchase. He is an exceptional communicator, well-organized, analytical, highly detailed, and enjoys researching on behalf of his buyers and sellers. Before joining HM Properties, Kevin was a Broker/Realtor®® with Giving Tree Realty in the Dilworth area.
Kevin and his wife live in the Carmel Estates East neighborhood in South Charlotte with their daughters: Audra (13) and Lauren (10) and two Golden Retriever sisters, Ruby and Daisy. He enjoys spending time with his family, researching and investing in stocks, sports, and exercising.
