After graduating from college, I joined the admissions staff at Barnard College and traveled for a year recruiting top tier women for this Seven Sisters college. I was then recruited to work in human resources at the Chase Manhattan Bank in its head office in lower Manhattan. After a few years, my husband, Jim and I moved to Chicago, where he worked as a jingle writer and musician on such campaigns as Sears, United Airlines, and McDonald's. While in Chicago, I worked at Harris Trust Bank.
A career opportunity for Jim took us to Tokyo, Japan, for five years when our daughters were young and that is where they started school. There, I worked as a substitute teacher at the American School in Japan and volunteered at the school and at the Tokyo Union Church as a Sunday school teacher. This unique new home base allowed us to explore different parts of Asia.
We moved to Charlotte in 1995, and I spent the next decade raising our daughters and volunteering at Charlotte Latin School, Charlotte Christian School, First Presbyterian Church, and the Jami Masters School of Dance. I am also a past volunteer at Project2Heal, an organization that raises Labs to become companion and service dogs. I enjoy being involved in my community of Ardrey in the Ballantyne area and also served on the Canine Care Committee which oversees our dog park.
In 2007, I obtained my real estate license and worked as a real estate broker at a local firm before joining HM Properties in 2015. I love building relationships with my clients and enjoy that no two days are alike. My greatest strengths are my ability to establish rapport and trust.
