Richard has lived in Charlotte for the past 35 years. He has also lived up and down the eastern seaboard and traveled throughout the country for business and pleasure. He has a terrific appreciation for the charms of the Queen City and advantages of living in Charlotte.

Over the years, Richard has been involved with numerous clubs and charitable organizations. He is currently a board member for Crossroads Corporation, a non-profit organization that buys and develops homes for disadvantaged citizens in Grier Heights. He is also a member of Goodfellows, a non-profit group in Charlotte consisting of over 1,700 male volunteers who assist the less fortunate in our community. In addition, Richard has served on the board for LifeSpan, a wonderful organization that assists the severely physically and mentally challenged. He feels that a positive involvement with Charlotte and the surrounding areas is a privilege and opportunity not to be taken lightly.

Throughout his career, Richard has developed and managed sales teams in a variety of industries. He has also been part of start up companies. Prior to joining HM Properties in 2009, he worked for a competing real estate company in Charlotte; Sales Manager of Anilox Roll Corp; Sales Representative for Consolidated Engravers/Pamarco; Product Developer & Owner of AM Resource (antimicrobial products); VP Sales and Marketing/Development for Consolidated Engravers; and a Sales Rep for Stockham Valves and Fittings. Richard brings years of experience working with people, understands the need for being prepared and the importance of going the extra mile ~ all of which will enable him to best help his clients whether they are buying or selling a home.

Richard has two adult daughters: Katherine, a graduate of the University of Georgia and Mary, a graduate of Roanoke College.
