Caroline was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, but has lived in Charlotte most of her life. She graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree. Upon graduation, she was hired as a teacher at Gaston Day School before joining the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system in 1998. In 2003, she went to work for the YMCA. After earning her real estate license, Caroline joined HM Properties in 2011 as a Broker.

Caroline and her husband, Tripp, have three daughters, and a Jack Russell Terrier named Lainey. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in triathalons, biking, swimming, running, traveling, cruising, and spending quality time with her family.
